BE DOPE NEWS (BDN) Cereal giant General Mills revealed plans to feature the BeOS on a future box design of its popular "Wheaties" cereal.

In the past, the coveted spot has been given to Bob Richards, Bruce Jenner, Walter Payton, Mary Lou Retton, Pete Rose, Chris Evert Lloyd and Michael Jordan.

This, however, marks the first time any operating system has received the honor.

"Wheaties is proud to add the BeOS to our championship team," said Bart Reed, Wheaties marketing manager. "Wheaties is all about strength, endurance and superior performance - these are some of the BeOS' strongest characteristics. Honoring the BeOS with a custom Wheaties box will give it the recognition it deserves and promote it to young cereal-eaters everywhere."
