BE DOPE NEWS (BDN) Adamation, the makers of the Adam email client, are bowing to consumer demand and today announced a future version of Adam will include the ability to send and receive text.

"Really, I don't see the need for it, but we're all about serving the customer," said Stephan Adams, president and CEO of Adamation.

Adam currently allows you to embed video messages, send and fill out forms, play Go, Shogi and Chess, place a bet with your Vegas bookee, spy on your children, order chinese food and track orbiting satellites.

"With the richness the BeOS and Adam's current features provide, I don't see why anyone would want to email using plain text," said Adams in a recorded video emailed to Be Dope. "But I guess there will always be those from 'the old school' who want to do things the old-fashioned way, and we're happy to serve that segment of the market."
