BE DOPE NEWS (BDN) The California Department of Education surprised reporters at a press conference when a spokesperson announced several elementary schools had no need to open after the upcoming spring break.

The five scools named are all part of a pilot program that use only the BeOS.

"The efficiency increase is tremendous," said the spokesperson. "From teachers using the BeOS to plan lessons, to students using the BeOS for their studies, the BeOS has across the board helped deliver a higher-quality education in a fraction of the time."

"We are happy to aid the education of the next generation of students in any way possible," said Be, Inc. CEO Jean-Louis Gassée. Be, Inc. donated the computers running the BeOS for the study.

Many students plan to learn more about the BeOS during their extended summer vacation.
